About This Project

Atlanta, Georgia

Originally built in the 1950s, then substantially rehabbed in 1981, the former Edgewood Court was renovated and rebranded into Amani Place in 2019. Renovation of 204 existing units, combined with two new residential buildings created a total of 222 healthy, high performance affordable apartments in this previously challenged community. New features include a community room, fitness facilities, playgrounds, a community garden, and outdoor seating and recreation areas. SK Collaborative provided certification services for Enterprise Green Communities and Fitwel. Amani Place is the first affordable project in the region to receive Fitwel certification and take advantage of Fannie Mae’s Healthy Housing Rewards financing incentives.
