We engage with our local communities by supporting social, environmental or health needs. The SK Way, our employee volunteering program, provides opportunities for employees to support good causes during working hours. In this way we put the Triple Bottom Line principles into practice. Each year, employees are given two paid workdays expendable for pre-approved volunteer work.
In 2019, our employees engaged in an annual company volunteer day along with a total of 38 annual volunteer hours.
Every year, SK Collaborative researches a local charitable organization that helps communities by supporting education, economic development, practical approaches to environmental issues, and humanitarian relief.
In 2018, SK contributed to Trees Atlanta for our annual holiday card and volunteer hours. In 2019, SK chose to donate and volunteer with local Decatur affordable housing partner, re:loom.
In 2019, members of the SK Collaborative team volunteered with re:loom in Scottsdale, GA. re:loom employs and empowers homeless and low-income individuals through weaving products made from recycled materials.
